Red Ink is my upcoming dark science fiction comic.
***
After a hail of fire and blood, the skies touch the earth. In search of the transcendent knowledge, the Stargazers reach for the Engine, forcing the remnants of humanity to seek refuge in the deepest caverns of the ruined planet. Only the Sentries set to protect the sunken cities dare to traverse the surface. But up above roam the crazed once-scholars that enlightenment and neglect have corrupted.
All wars come to an end, yet the pain hardly subsides as it ripples through time. Three individuals face the fragments of the war that still refuse to die.
Nox Temporise

This video was something I started because I needed a break from my longer projects. Ever since I started playing video games, I've found myself wanting to create a game myself. That, however, takes a lot of time and learning new skills, none of which intimidate me, but rather my problem is that (currently) I don't have the time to overtake such a project on my own. I still find imagining things that could be in a video game a lot of fun, and thus Nox Temporise came to be.
People who have played fantasy games probably recognise my sources of inspiration here. The Dark Souls -series and the Monster Hunter: World are blatantly obvious. I was not trying to hide my inspiration as this was simply supposed to be a fun challenge, but I still wanted to go beyond just creating fan art. Most dear to me out of those games are Demon's Souls and the King's Field -games that probably most affected the mood and the slightly "old" look of this project.
The compelling storytelling style that these games are known for, the one where the player is not offered too much knowledge about the world and the characters, was one of my guiding stars here. Therefore, a short video clip with bits of storytelling but the focus on creating a dark and desperate yet beautiful glimpse of a world seemed like the ideal way to go. Best stories are those that give its audience a freedom to interpret it through their own experiences. Hopefully I have achieved this.

My art combines several different topics of interest, most prominently astronomy, dark fantasy games like Dark Souls and Demon's Souls, and westerns. My style varies between semi-realistic and realistic paintings and semi-realistic comic style.
I work mostly in digital format, and only sketch quick ideas and practices on paper. Sometimes I dig out my pen and ink, paints and markers, and spend some time making a therapeutic mess.
This section showcases some of my personal art, fan art, and occasional commissions.
WRITING
Verholehdet
Along visual art, I've always had a passion for fiction writing. I've been writing seriously since 2012 as part of a creative writing group. In my writing, I like to explore the themes of nature and human mind, horror and unnatural. Whenever I am telling a story, despite the medium, I always aim to tell stories that would fascinate me first and foremost.
Verholehdet ( The Sepals) is my current writing project. It is a hazy and sometimes surreal and poetic story of a young woman whose thoughts and ideas appear to materialise as real beasts that haunt her. It is a story about hurt, love, and maturing.
Kuparikaupunki

Since I started writing with a more clear aim to complete a novel, I've finished one story called Kuparikaupunki (Copper Town) that remained unpublished although the criticism I received for this story was good and helped me keep going. I've also painted some scenes from this book.
The story of Kuparikaupunki could be described as historical fiction with some elements of unnatural and horror. It is a story about a railroad engineer who after his wife's untimely death leaves for one last trip through the Colorado mountains. Followed by a terrible accident, he is left stranded in the wilderness, and he seeks any remaining settlements. Finally, he finds an old mining town that appears to be abandoned...
